Following a juice detox for a little while or including fresh juices regularly in your diet, is a great way to boost your weight loss plan. So here are a few juice recipes to whizz up in your juicer that will help get your weight loss plan on the right track:

Metabolism matters

To aid your weight loss it’s important to include sufficient iron in your diet to boost your metabolism, so be sure to include some dark green vegetable in your juice recipes, here’s a recipe to try:

 Super green juice

Pop approximately two handfuls of kale, a handful of spinach,  two apples, half a cucumber, the juice of half a lemon and a sprinkle of dried ginger or even better a piece of fresh ginger, into your juicer and process according to your equipment’s directions. Add a sprig of mint to taste or a few grapes for added sweetness, as you prefer.

Your superfood boost

Kale has long been recognised a superfood, being high in fibre, iron, vitamin K, with anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. While spinach is packed with nutrients including iron, protein, fibre, vitamins A, C, E, K and B6, folate, calcium, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, copper, and manganese. So add these two super ingredients to your juices, and you’ll be well on the way to giving yourself a health and weight loss boost.  

Turmeric is fantastic

As an alternative, try a green juice based around three sticks of celery, a cucumber, plus the juice of half a lemon, a thumbnail sized piece of ginger and one of turmeric too. Turmeric has been linked to many health benefits, including anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties; and has great flavour too, so your juices needn’t be insipid.     

Put pineapple in poll position

You can also satisfy your sweet tooth by using pineapple as a key ingredient in your juice recipes. Mix a small can of pineapple pieces or a few slices of fresh pineapple, with a couple of large carrots, an apple and a chunk of fresh ginger.  Pineapple provides a range of nutrients, vitamins, and minerals; and has been attributed with immune boosting, antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, so be sure to include it in your diet.  

Beautiful beetroot beats all

Use two beetroots as the base for a juice that packs a powerful nutritional punch, then add two carrots, two crisp apples and a lemon. Beetroot is a good source of iron and other minerals including nitrates, betaine, magnesium – giving it powerful antioxidant properties, thus making it a great ingredient for your juices.

Tang-tastic grapefruit

Start your day with a zip when you build your morning juice around a pink grapefruit, then add two oranges, a handful of mint and a small head of lettuce. Pink grapefruit will boost your metabolism, helping your weight loss, plus it has many health giving properties too, strengthening your immune system and helping to prevent cancer and heart disease.
